Verifications
Enrollment Verifications:
SBCC has authorized the National Student Clearinghouse to provide free official enrollment verifications to students through the self-service option in their campus accounts. Students registered at least part time may obtain verification that they are or were enrolled during a specific term only after the add/drop period of that semester for full semester length classes (date varies for late start and short term classes). To obtain verification of enrollment dates and full or part time status:
- Log in to Campus Portal
- Select Student Records.
- Choose the link to Enrollment Verifications; you will be directed to the National Student Clearinghouse to process your request.
To authorize the release of academic information to parents or to obtain GPA verification,
students must fill out one of the Authorization for Release of Information forms:

Authorization for Release of Information to Third Parties
- Print out the required form from the link provided
- Complete and sign the form
- Bring the form and your photo ID to Admissions & Records, SS-110
Degree Verifications:
Santa Barbara City College has authorized the National Student Clearinghouse to provide degree verifications for employers and other third-parties. SBCC no longer provides verifications by phone. If you are an employer or background screening firm requesting this information, please visit the National Student Clearinghouse to obtain instant verifications. Degree verifications will NOT be processed until all outstanding debts and/or holds are cleared at SBCC.
